Model answer 1

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to City Evening College in reference to an advertisement I saw in The Deccan Newspaper on May 14th for language teachers at your college.

I am interested in teaching Hindi and Indian Cookery. I have seen that your guide for last term does not include these courses, but I understand there are now large numbers of second and third-generation Indians living in this part of the city who may be keen to learn more about their language and culture.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree and a teaching diploma. I hold special qualifications in language teaching and cookery. I was a science teacher in India, but moved to San Francisco in 2010. There, I taught Hindi for Beginners and Indian Cookery at two community colleges. The language course assumed students had no prior knowledge of Hindi. It gave them simple everyday language, as well as recognition of the alphabet. The cookery course focused on easy meal preparation and the art of making Biryani.

In Vancouver, I could teach the same courses as previously, or we could devise new ones, depending on what the college considered its market to be.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter concerning the loss of my handbag on your flight.

Last week my family and I were on a vacation and we were travelling to Vancouver from London airport. Our flight number was LV586 and my seat number was 13B. It was a long haul journey and after my boarding my next flight I realized my hand luggage had been lost. As per the travel guidelines, I had kept my backpack beneath of front seat because the overhead bin had been filled with other passenger belongings.

The luggage is a green, medium-sized Samsonite model and it is a leather bag. Since this holiday was the first time it had been used, it should appear to be in good condition. It has two sections one is for laptop and the second can be used for other personal items.

When I left my bag, it contains not only my clothes but also my work laptop, which is highly essential for me. Can I please request to take this as a priority and assist me.

I look forward to your reply and I would be happy if any swift action has taken.

Yours Sincerely,

Model Answer 5

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in working for the position of an English teacher at your community college on the night shift. I am applying for this post in response to an advertisement, published in a local daily newspaper, a couple of days ago.

I have been looking for this kind of opportunity for a long time to teach English, but, because of my day-time job, I haven’t been able to do it so far. Now that you are offering such an opportunity, I want to grab it with my two hands, not only to teach the arts of English communication to the students but also to contribute to a good cause.

In support of my eligibility to teach English at your college, I have completed a Bachelor degree in Education, and I have a short certification course on “Grammar, Vocabulary and Accent Training”. Besides, I have also done some home tutoring in English teaching for young children before.

I am pretty confident that I will be able to do a fine job of teaching English at your college, only if you give me a chance.

Yours faithfully,

Model Answer 5

Dear Sir/Madam,

With due respect, I am writing this letter to reveal my interest in your advertisement for the post of teacher in the Dome Community College.

At the onset, I saw the vacancy in The Washington Newspaper under the classified section which published on Saturday, 10th August 2019. As per your requirements, I have done Bachelor of Science with eight years of experience from Xavier College, Fremont, California. Since you need a candidate who can join the graveyard sessions along with immediate joining after 18th August 2017, meanwhile I am under notice period which is going to complete on 14th August 2019. Thus, I can join for the vacant position in your prescribed period.

However, you have mentioned vacancy for two posts, one for Bio-Medical course last for two years and another for Botanic Specialist duration for just six months. Furthermore, though I am a veteran in the science field, I would like to apply for Botanic specialist teacher as part of my experience is in research and methodology of plants and seeds. I have seen the prospectus of your college to clarify my doubts before applying for this job, and I am glad to see the assessment bifurcation, which includes 70% practical and 30% theory. I felt excited about the division of syllabus as this subject demands more practical study.

Lastly, I assert that I am entirely appropriate for this work as I am not only fulfilling all the essential traits but also being specialised in a particular practical aspect of this subject. Apart from this, I had achieved the rank in the city’s top ten Botanic teachers in 2018 from Edward Award Committee. Moreover, your college is nearby my home, which means night classes would not be a constraint for you to pick and drop facility. In addition to this, I have already submitted all documents online along with appreciation certificates as an additional one. I hope you find my resume interested.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
