Dear Mr John Doe,

I am writing this letter to express my deep disappointment with the news that the work placement programme has been cancelled this summer.

One of the main reasons I chose to study Business English at your school in July and August was the chance to participate in the work placement programme. There are many English schools in California that offer Business English, but not many who offer the chance to go and work in a local company as part of the course programme. Your school is more expensive than the competition, but I was happy to pay extra because I thought the course programme was better quality. Now however, I am very unhappy because I have spent a lot of money and I am not getting the course I want.

As the course programme is now very different to the one advertised, I would like to request a full refund of the money I have paid for this course. I will try to contact other schools in California, or maybe New York, which run Business English courses and can guarantee a work placement as part of the course.

I look forward to receiving your reply.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Mr John Doe,

I am writing this letter with regards to express my disappointment in hearing that the work placement programme held every summer has vanished this year.

One of the main reasons I chose your school, among the many, in New Zealand was because of the work placement programme offered under my Business English course. I am majorly concerned about losing the opportunity to gain practical insights into my course along with the chance to develop and engage with local people by utilising my course knowledge. I particularly selected your school and incurred extra expenses for this golden chance of placements, and if this is not getting offered- then I am been frauded.

I would therefore humbly request if you could possibly look into reopening the summer placement programme again, otherwise, I should be getting my money back as I am not getting offered based on what was advertised.

I will look forward to your response.

Yours Sincerely,

Personally, I was upset with the changes; hence, an opportunity to apply in practice everything that I learn is of overriding importance for me. There are other courses that suggest this opportunity.

I am afraid that I have to claim a 50% refund of my payment since this course is not the one I paid for anymore. I want to look for another program that can guarantee summer work placement. Hope you can understand my concerns and .

I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.

Model Answer 4

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am IELTSSelfStudy, pursuing a business English course from your school, writing this letter in connection with the cancellation of the summer work placement program. I am totally in disbelief after learning about this as I was very well prepared and was enthusiastic about this opportunity furthermore, It could have had a major impact on my perplexed mind in terms of choosing a profession which is merely a dilemma for me right now as I have not experienced any job opportunities; however, I believe that this was the most imperative time of learning and exploring the different professional roles.

Moreover, I am also a strong advocate of the fact that the placement program would have improved our confidence and could have polished our communication skills with us gaining the requisite knowledge which is vital for succeeding in this competitive world.

Ultimately all the repercussions of the cancellation, outweigh the advantages a student will experience. Needless to say, I would request you to kindly resume this program to help us get the economic avalanche of benefits for our future endeavors.

I hope you will take my request into your consideration and revert me at the earliest.

Yours sincerely,
